We later discovered Leo also has an astigmatism. When Leo was prescribed glasses, I persevered but then realised that he couldn't see through the frame with his head turn (severe left of his eyes). I was told off at hospital until we finally saw 'The Professor' (Prof Gottlob at Leicester). She instantly stated that he couldn't wear glasses and would need surgery He had the surgery last December to correct his head turn and move his null point to the centre. The operation was a 100% success and has made a huge impact on Leo's life. It has also lessened the 'wobble'. Leo now wears glasses daily for his astigmatism and most people never even notice the Nystagmus. He is like any other boy. He's just completed his first year at school and loves drawing, football, climbing and riding his bike without stabilisers ".
