Hi all,

I had my appointment 3 at Leicester yesterday and all went well. As I had suspected there was no change in vision since appointment 2, however I have improved a line on the eye chart since starting the meds. This could be contributed to the fact my first visit was particularly stressful however so causing a bad N day, time will tell on this one.

I have upped my dosage by 1 extra tablet a day until Sunday then 2 extra starting next Monday, making the routine 2, 2, 1 then 2, 2, 2.

I will report more if anything of interest occurs.

Hello forum dwellers,

So its been a while since i posted, I have been rather busy with the business, house renovation, degree work etc and there really also hasn't been that much to report, but I thought I would drop in an update now that the next milestone has been reached.

I finished the first phase of the drug trial back at the start of July, in the end for that first phase there was no change in vision, (apart form the 1 line improvement observed after my first visit baseline tests). In the initial stages of the phase I thought I was feeling effects etc but now I am pretty convinced I was on the placebo's and they where doing their job nicely.

I have now completed my 6 weeks wash out and yesterday I went to see Leicester again to have the baseline tests for the next phase of the trial, no change in vision as expected but I forgot to ask Viral for the figures. I was struggling a bit with tiredness after a heavy weekend stargazing for bright ISS pass's and Perseid meteors, (not sure if there are any other astronomers out there), and what with the closing ceremony of the Olympics it was a late night. I am only really marking this for my memory so that when I see if any small improvements occur over the next few weeks I have a reason why.

I started on the next drug this morning, 1 in the morning and 1 at night and slowly increasing in dosage in the same fashion as the last drug, I will report back if any improvements or sides are observed.

Thanks,

Jon
