Nintendo 3DS

Has anyone got any personal experience or have children with Nystagmus who could share their experience of the new Nintendo 3DS. I have been thinking of buying one but I have CN and I don't want to buy it and find out I will miss the whole point of buying it [ie the 3D]

Since it doesn't require glasses I assume it relies more heavily on your eyesight that the other 3D methods. Any help would be appreciated.

I would try it at a Game store or something but there are none nearby so I can't even try it before buying. [Don't get me started on the drawbacks of online shopping]
