2011 Open Day October 22

Hi all,

The Nystagmus Network Open Day 2011 will be on October 22 in Harrow, north west London. You'll find details at http://www.nystagmusnet.org/Home.htm. It's a great opportunity to learn about nystagmus and meet others with the condition. As one mum told me this week: "We found the NN Open Day last year (our first!) a huge source of information, encouragement and support as both our young children have nystagmus. We are very much looking forward to attending again this year."

I would say this, wouldn't I, but places are going fast -- especially in the creche -- so book now if you're thinking about coming along. If you have any questions, phone or email me.

Hi all
Sorry that we can't be at the Open Day this year, but it is on the same day as Adam and Emma get married...Yes, that little boy that used to come along to the Open Days is getting married. He met Emma (who also has Nystagmus) on a Nystagmus forum, moved up to Norfolk to be near her and now they are getting hitched! Is this the first Nystagmus wedding?

Thanks also to the 150 people who joined us for our Open Day on Saturday. After all the preparation, it was great to see so many people talking and even laughing about nystagmus.

I've not been through all the feedback yet, but here's one comment that came in by email this morning: "For the first time in 15 years I really feel that we are not alone and that there are people working to improve the lives of people like my son."
